What are your service times?

Sunday Morning: We have two services at 8:30am and 10:15am in the auditorium.
Sunday Nights: Sunday Nights at Saylorville begins at 5:30pm on September 7th, 2014. During this time we have an adult class, Saylorville Students (6th-12th grade) and Shine Children’s Ministry (2 1/2 years – 5th grade). Nursery is also provided at this time for ages 0 – 2 1/2 years.
Wednesday Nights: On Wednesdays we have The Mix downstairs for 6th-12th graders from 6:30-8:00pm and a prayer meeting open to all from 7:00-8:00pm in the Fellowship Hall.

What are your services like?

Our services have contemporary music and preaching directly from the Bible. Both the music and the message are the same in both Sunday morning services.

What should I wear?

You can wear whatever you like…anything from skirts and dresses to jeans and shirts, casual works just fine.

What is your music like?

At Saylorville our music in contemporary but our focus is on substance and truth over style and performance.

Do I need a Bible? What translation do you use?

Here at Saylorville, we preach from the Bible but you do not need to bring a Bible to attend. We preach from the English Standard Version (ESV).

What is available for my kids/teens?

Infant and Toddler (through 2 ½ years old): Nurseries are available for all Sunday morning and all Sunday evening activities.
2 ½ years through Kindergarten: Children’s Church is available during both Sunday morning services.
2 ½ years through 5th grade: Shine is our children’s ministry and meets downstairs Sunday evening during Sunday Nights at Saylorville.
6th-12th graders: Saylorville Students is our youth ministry. They meet downstairs for “The Mix” from 6:30-8:00pm on Wednesday evenings (7:00-8:00pm in the summers) and on Sundays for Cell Groups during Sunday Nights at Saylorville.

How do I connect with others?

There are many ways to get connected with others at Saylorville. Free coffee and treats are served each Sunday between the morning services at the Coffee Cove. This is a great place to meet new people. Cell Groups are groups of people that meet weekly in homes to study the Bible, pray and encourage one another.

Do you have a singles ministry?

Young singles are encouraged to be part of a weekly adult cell group and plug into the day-to-day life of the church. During the school year there are also weekly vans providing transportation to The Salt Company at Cornerstone Church in Ames where you can experience vibrant worship, biblical teaching, and friendship among some 1500 other college students and young singles.
